Solutions For QuickBooks Error 140305
You need to perform the provided three solution to get the QuickBooks Error 140305 resolved:
Solution 1: Delete customers without transactions in QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale
You can remove customers in QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale to ensure that the list is maximized:
- From the Customers menu, choose Customer List.
- Open a report to check the customers who don’t have account balances.
- Navigate to the Customer List window, click on I want to ▼ drop-down menu.
- Choose Run a report and then click on General – Customer List.
- From the top of the menu, click on Modify and then choose Add or Remove columns.
- Mark the Account Balance checkbox and then click on Save.
- You can save a copy of your list by clicking on Print. Once the process finishes, click on Close.
- Press and hold the CTRL key and choose the customers you will be removing from the report.
- Click on Delete from the left menu and then enter YES to confirm.
- Click on OK to finish the process.
- Try to run a financial exchange again.
Solution 2: Delete customers without transactions in QuickBooks for Windows
If the maximum limit is reached, you can remove customers that don’t have any transaction.
To delete customers:
- Press the F2 or CTRL + 1 to open the Product Information window.
- Now, go to the List Information section.
- Ensure that the Customers count is higher than the 14,500 limit.
- From the Customers menu and then click on Customer Center.
- Right-click on the customer you want to remove and then click on Delete Customer:Job. Note: The customer having subitems couldn’t be removed. You may have to delete or move the sub items first.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 for other customers. - Try to run a financial exchange again.
- If the financial exchange still can’t be processed, there are chances that your customer list is damaged. In such cases, you need to go to solution 3.

Solution 3: Re-sort the customer list
- From the Customers menu, choose Customer Center.
- From the View menu, choose Re-sort list.
- Click on OK.
