Understand Annual Wage Base Limits
A wage base limit is the taxable earnings of the per-employee cap. When your employee completes the cap, the taxes can get stopped or increased.
Note: Tax calculation will get restarted if your state or the federal govt. modifications of the wage base limit. However, in case your employee has multiple job, wage base limits will be as per employee, per employer, per year.
How To Update Wage Base Limits?

Intuit Payroll or QuickBooks Online Payroll (all versions)
In these products, there is no need to do anything because the limits will automatically get updated after updating your payroll tax tables.

How To See Your Employee Wage Base Limits

- From the main menu of QuickBooks, go to Reports > Employees & Payroll.
- Choose Payroll Detail Review.
- Select This Calendar Year from the Dates ▼ drop-down options.
- Click on Refresh.
QuickBooks Online Payroll (all versions)
- From the main menu of QuickBooks, go to Reports > Payroll Tax and Wage Summary.
